On May 14th, 2019 OSHA published a final rule and clarification on certification requirements for crane operators. New rule states that employers are now required to train operators as needed to perform assigned crane activities, evaluate them, and document successful completion of the evaluations. The rule requires crane operator’s to be certified or licensed, and receive ongoing training as necessary to operate new equipment.
